The TRUTH About Alcohol Consumption (NEW SHOCKING RESEARCH!)

Numerous times on this channel I’ve elaborated, with research, on how even a little alcohol consumption can:

Raise cortisol levels.

Lower testosterone levels.

Raise estrogen levels.

Decrease growth hormone production.

Alter ATP production.

Decrease or completely halt protein synthesis for hours.

Impede muscle growth.

Leak endotoxins into your blood stream.

And inhibit the absorption of dietary nutrients, such as Vitamin B1, B12, Folic acid, and Zinc.

As you can imagine, I hold a very hard-lined stance on alcohol consumption, and I personally do not drink even a drop of the toxic shit.

Likewise, I recommend others avoid the poison too.

But… it gets even worse than the aforementioned issues!

This year, an incredibly large, comprehensive meta-analysis was published in a highly-prestigious medical journal regarding how alcohol consumption is killing you… yes, KILLING you!

The paper also crushed a popular myth about alcohol.

So, let’s have a quick look at what the researchers did, and what they discovered.

If you want to explore the paper in greater detail, I’ve linked the full text over at my blog for this video, which is linked in both the description and in my pinned comment.

The University of Cambridge, in the UK, collected data from 599,912 alcohol users, from 83 epidemiological studies. Researchers adjusted for age, sex, smoking status, history of diabetes, and history of cardiovascular disease. The average study participant lived in a wealthy country, was healthy at the start of the study, and was followed for a median of 5-6 years.

After controlling for different types of cardiovascular mortality separately, it was found that wine, beer, and spirits intake higher than 5 glasses per week was associated with increased risks of mortality from stroke, death from heart failure, and death from other cardiovascular causes.

And while those who drank less than 5 glasses of alcohol per week saw no harm to their health, they also saw no benefits.

Ergo, the popular concept that “moderate” alcohol consumption is healthy is patently false.

And drinking over 5 glasses per week is at the expense of your life expectancy, and it apparently cannot be reversed.

But the amount that your life is shortened is related to the amount of alcohol you’ve consumed per week above 5 glasses.

According to this meta-analysis, you could lose as little as 6 months of life, to as many as 4–5 years!

In fact, the data from this meta-analysis stands in opposition to most current guidelines regarding safe alcohol consumption.

Clearly, we are learning something new all the time. And what we previously thought was acceptable, can STILL cause you harm.

I really see no point in drinking the shit at all. No benefit, and plenty of potential risk.

But, hey, I’m just trying to educate.

It seems that each time I broach this topic, someone voices a complaint about their precious alcohol being put on the firing line.

Don’t shoot the messenger!

YOU need to weigh the risks, and make an informed decision for YOUR life that YOU can live with.

Anyway, let me know what you all think in the comments below.
