How YOU Can Develop a Powerful Jawline (SCIENCE)

Through this channel and my products, I am always trying to bring you ways to enhance the power of your looks, physique, and performance… backed up with science.

And hopefully I’ve given you some interesting ideas and tricks you’ve not considered before.

A strong jawline is certainly one physically-defining marker of masculinity.

In fact, a strong jawline is a staple of the classic male superhero look, along with an imposing physique and strength to match.

Research even demonstrates that possessing a strong jawline can make you appear more sexually-attractive to women.

Furthermore, based on a study on Fortune 500 CEOs, a stronger chin was consistently associated with authority and confidence.

One obvious way to define your jawline is to lose any fat that is making your face puffier, softer, and blurring your features.

But, there are also ways to BUILD a stronger-looking jawline!

The jaw contains muscles called the masseter, which connect the lower jawbone to the cheekbone as pictured here.

As with any muscle, the masseter IS capable of hypertrophy given adequate work volume and frequency.

And it has been found that gum-chewing has been associated with growth of the masseter muscles.

But, one word of warning!

It is possible to develop one side and not the other, as these two examples from case studies demonstrate.

And this is a female example of that same imbalance.

So if you decide to use chewing gum to enhance the appearance of your jawline… ensure you chew evenly on both sides.

Now you may be asking… how much gum-chewing is enough to produce results?

It appears that chewing gum 1-3 times per week, for at least 1 hour at a time, will result in masseter hypertrophy.

And this is something you can do while going about your daily business, so long as you remain mindful to chew evenly with both sides.

As for the type of gum, a lot of folks seem to recommend mastic gum. But, I cannot find any research to support its use for this purpose, just anecdote.

But, for what it’s worth, one person claims results were seen within two weeks of chewing mastic gum daily.

Mastic gum is a resin from the mastic tree, which is an evergreen that grows in dry, rocky areas of Mediterranean Europe… like Greece.

In case you’re interested in purchasing some, I’ve linked some high-rated Greek mastic gum in the description below. I’ve linked to 20, 50, and 100 gram options.

I’ve yet to try mastic gum personally, though I just ordered some this week. I’ve read that it tastes bitter at first, but eventually releases a pine or cedar-like flavor with continued chewing.

I’ve also linked to the chewing gum brand that I personally enjoy, called Spry.

Spry is sweetened with xylitol, which is a natural sugar alcohol, so it won’t fuck up your carb numbers if you’re dieting.

I wouldn’t call Spry’s gum difficult to chew, but it is tough enough at 2-4 pieces that you will likely feel the effects on your jaw after prolonged chewing. In other words, your jaw may end up a little sore and fatigued over time. Just like your muscles after a good lifting session.

And while you may never reach the level of power-jaw sported by Dave Bautista in Riddick 3, whose character Diaz was constantly seen chewing gum, you surely can optimize your own genetic potential in that area if you work… errr, CHEW for it.
